An Arm and a Leg

God created Adam who became bored and lonely.
So God said to Adam that he would create a good companion from him.
‘Oh?’ said Adam
‘Yes’ said God. ‘Your new companion will be called Eve and she will be a woman. She will be loving and kind all the days of your life. She will look after you, wash for you, cook for you, iron everything for you and never have a headache. She will attend to your needs’
‘Wonderful’ said Adam ‘But that will cost me lots?’
God replied ‘An arm and a leg’
Adam asked God if he could have something a bit cheaper
‘What would I get for a rib for instance?’ Adam enquired.
And the rest is history
