Pearls and Swine

A professor addressing a class of students: “This is the worst class I have ever had. I am tired of casting my pearls before swine.”
One of the students stood up and said, “If I may say so, sir, imitation pearls.”
“Maybe,” said the lecturer, “but real swine.”
